Idrive throttle controller4/28/2023 The benefit of installing a throttle controller is that you will experience your drive as smoother and have more responsiveness when you need it. If you are accelerating quickly, and, for example, overtaking, the iDrive will automatically adjust to a higher setting, giving you maximum responsiveness. For example, if you are in traffic, and taking off more gently, it will automatically adjust to a low setting. Automatic mode will change the throttle responsiveness, depending on how much pressure you apply to the accelerator, as you drive. The iDrive is different to other throttle controllers on the market, because of its automatic mode. The higher the setting, the more reactive or responsive you driving experience. Manual mode allows you to manually set the throttle responsiveness. There are two setting modes in the iDrive, allowing you flexibility in function. When the iDrive is used in these conditions it will smooth out the experience, decreasing the amount of bounce by dampening the throttle and lessening wheel spin. When you are driving off road on rough terrain, you may want less throttle responsiveness and more wheel speed control. This can be experienced in turbo diesels, particularly and many 4x4s. The iDrive throttle controller decreases the ‘lag’ that you feel when you accelerate and there is a delay in take off. It provides more response when you need it (particularly when you’re towing or overtaking), and decreased response for some off road conditions, when you require a smoother drive. In a nutshell, it gives you more control over acceleration under different driving conditions. The iDrive is a throttle controller that works on both manual and automatic transmission vehicles. iDrive is an Australian owned and operated company. It also improves city driving performance. The iDrive is a great product that improves driving performance and reduces ‘lag’ when you are towing a caravan or trailer. Give us a call to find out if an iDrive EVC can be fitted to your vehicle.Emu Caravan Repairs is proud to announce that we are now an authorised dealer for iDrive Australia and now offer full installation of this great product in your towing vehicle. The team at Impact Off Road have used the iDrive EVC Throttle Controllers for over a year and are happy to recommend these for our Impact Quadtrucks and the vehicles that you use elsewhere every day. The iDrive EVC can control either rapid throttle response or slow throttle response depending on what terrain the Impact Quadtruck is being used on. The iDrive EVC can be fitted to the Daihatsu Hijet S510P that we supply which allows even better throttle control. The iDrive EVC has made a significant difference in our vehicle’s ability to tow as the EVC Throttle Controller communicates differently to the engine and transmission which in turn ensures optimum performance at all times. The difference in performance is staggering considering this device only adjusts the throttle response and can be controlled easily with three different programs on the digital display.Īt Impact Off Road we tow most of the time as we move the Impact Quadtrucks around the country for demonstrations and for after sales service. We have two company vehicles, a 2007 200 Series Landcruiser V Holden Trailblazer fitted with them plus several private vehicles, including a 2012 Mercedes-Benz B180 fitted with the EVC Throttle Controller. Impact Off Road are proud to have become dealers and installers for the iDrive EVC Throttle Controllers.
